    Interlibrary Loan

Interlibrary loan (ILL) is a service that allows MVSU faculty, staff and students to borrow books and other materials from libraries around the world. Interlibrary loan requests should be for the support of research, curricular, scholarship or teaching needs. Personal and pleasure reading requests , not found in our collection, should be made at your public library.

    How to Borrow

The James H. White Library uses an electronic interlibrary loan system called ILLiad (screen shot below), which works with the WorldCat worldwide catalog.

    • Use WorldCat to find your item and automatically transfer the bibliographic data for the item into an ILLiad request form. This is the fastest way to get your item.
    • Manually type your request into an ILLiad request form. This is a less express method and may take a bit more time.
